What is Phi Beta Lambda?
Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) is the collegiate division of the oldest and largest student business organization in the world, leading with a global membership of over 250,000 members, 6,000 chapters, and 10,000 advisers. As we focus on preparing our post-secondary members as professional business leaders, PBL gives you the opportunity to continue your FBLA-PBL membership from school to work, and offer programs that suits each individual members' academic, professional, and personal interests.
What Makes PBL Unique?
Although we are recognized with Greek letters, PBL we are often called FBLA-PBL, PBL, and/or Professional Business Leaders. PBL membership is open to all students at post-secondary institutions, regardless of undergraduate or graduate degree program.
How Do I Become a Member?
There are 3 ways of affiliating membership in Phi Beta Lambda:
Members develop essential soft skills by holding chapter officer positions at the local, state, and national levels; by networking with accomplished business professionals; and by participating in business-focused workshops, seminars, and competitions.
Members demonstrate their business expertise at high-profile state and national competitive events. The top 3 students in Washington State in each competitive event are awarded and recognized. Each 1st place winner from the State Leadership Conference qualifies to attend and/or compete at the National Leadership Conference. At the National level, the top 10 students are awarded with trophies, and the top 5 students are awarded with trophies and cash awards.
Members create career portfolios, enhance their knowledge with world-recognized skills certifications, and have access to select college scholarships.
